Mt Whitney panorama looking E, with left to right, Wales Lake, Mt Russel, Tulianyo Lake barely visible, Iceberg Lake, North Fork of Lone Pine Creek at center, leading down to Whitney Portal, Owens Valley, Alabama Hills, Lone Pine, and farthest back on the horizon the White Mountains all in line beyond. Continuing on right from center is Thor Peak, Pinnacle Ridge, Wotans Throne with Consultation Lake and Trail Camp just barely peaking out behind it, Keeler Needle, the Mt Whitney Ridge aproach trail and other Needles, Discovery Pinnacle, Upper Hitchcock Lake, and the Mt Whitney Summit and hut.
